London’s Affordable Artists Studio Network is a growing network of exemplar studio providers who collectively support 1 in 3 artists in London. Spanning over 1,000,000 square free of affordable studio space and present in 60% of London boroughs.
We advocate for high-quality, affordable, long-term and inclusive studio space, sharing best practice in studio provision across the creative and cultural sector. We support one another, share advice, and collectively work to improve London’s studio provision for artists, makers and designers.

To foster an environment of mutual support and confidentiality. To share knowledge generously. To advocate for affordability and the need for high quality, inclusive, long term studios for artists and makers of London.

Why LAASN
LAASN are united in the determination to continue to deliver high quality studios and workshops to artists, makers and designers living and working in the capital at affordable prices.
LAASN was considered as an idea late in 2017 by Space, Second Floor Studios & Arts and ASC. As the challenges of 2020 unfolded the sector felt more strongly than ever that an advocacy and lobby group was needed to both define affordability and speak more broadly for our sector and for those we support through the provision of studio workspaces.
